Schatz royal barometer

27b0_2The weather is so unpredictable at the moment that you may well feel that you're in need of a little guidance. As predicting the weather is notoriously tricky, you might as well get something that looks beautiful while being inaccurate.

With that, check out this ace Schatz royal barometer and thermometer. It's brass and looks like something from an old ship! This barometer is protected in a stove-lacquered, solid brass case with a thick glass port, secured by brass scuttle clamps. It has black hands and numerals on white dial.

First edition Tiny Tears for grabs on eBay

9e40_2 As I live in Manchester, there were a lot of tears floating around after the Champions League final match between Man United and Barcelona. Obviously, Barca won. It got me thinking about Tiny Tears... the little doll that wept gently as you squeezed her solar plexus.

What we have here is a first edition Tiny Tears from the '60s. The seller says "she has the typical waxy feel to body of that era. Wearing original TT outfit comprising of dress, cardigan, beret, & bootees. All in great clean condition. As is doll just a couple of play marks. Hair great no plugs missing, all eyelashes intact, eyes great. No nibbles or digits missing."

Retro pod chair

Retro chairYou will have seen the globe/pod chair before... it's a design classic! It oozes retro sophistication as well as looking like it was designed in a space ship.

A groovy space ship.

A glossy white shell sits atop a swivelling base and stands at 125cm high. Inspired by the famous Eero Aarnio design and considerably cheaper, this would look great in any retro fan's home!

Beano Dennis The Menace fan club badge!

DENNISMENACE Many many years ago, I lost my Dennis the Menace fan club badge. I still think about it to this day. I lost my googly eyes Gnasher badge on the same day.

So thank the stars for eBay, where people are selling off genuine Beano badges (not copies) with this particular one coming from the '70s and featuring the baddest boy in town, sneering and waiting to be worn on your coat with pride!

Tent packs on eBay for you summer holidays and festivals!

503 With the festival season just around the corner and, potential summer camping trips that aren't anything to do with rock music, you might be looking toward buying a tent.

The credit crunch has also seen many looking at British holidays, to save those precious pounds. Of course, eBay has the answer. One great deal spotted was via a shop called Waudby's, which has a great deal on a 'festival pack' (of course, it's up to you what you use it for) which includes a tent, two sleeping bags and two roll mats! Some are going for as little as £10! Bargain!

Everest Dual Disc Suspension gents mountain bike

6961_2 I've been posting up quite a few things since New Year, relating to getting fit. I have a feeling I'm doing this because I want to get fit, but never seem to get around to it, which means I'm putting exercise off by writing about it instead! Anyway, if you're more disciplined than me, you may be interested in this great starter bike.

This Everest Dual Disc Suspension mountain bike is going for just under £100, and is a cheap and enjoyable way of getting the ol' heart pumping.
